What does Exilis treat?
Exilis has two modules; one for fat reduction and one for skin tightening.
Fat reduction – this module heats fat cells to a temperature that causes them to burst, when the body’s lymphatic system can carry the fat away. It is highly effective on areas on areas of stubborn, diet- and exercise-resistant fat on the stomach, inner and outer thighs, upper arms and back.
Skin tightening – this module causes the collagen support tissues in the skin to remodel and tighten, thereby stimulating and strengthening the collagen network which improves skin laxity and texture. Is the Exilis treatment safe?
Exilis has been tested in clinical studies and proven to be safe and effective. It has been cleared by the FDA in the U.S. for use in dermatological and aesthetic procedures with indications for non-invasive treatment of wrinkles and rhytids.
Are there any side effects?
You might experience a mild tingling sensation, warm skin, or slight redness after treatment.
Some pinkness on the treated area may show and last for about 15-30 minutes after the Exilis treatment. It is recommended that you drink more water on the day of the treatment and on the following day, and engage in light exercise to enhance results.
Besides that, there have been no significant side effects reported with Exilis treatment.
How does the Exilis treatment work?
During the session, the Exilis computer-controlled device is guided over the treatment area. You feel a warming sensation as the energy is delivered to the deeper layers of skin. Exilis focuses the energy on the specific treatment areas at the targeted depth of penetration. By causing the collagen supporting tissues to remodel, Exilis stimulates and strengthens the collagen network to improve skin laxity and texture.

What does the treatment feel like?
At the beginning of the Exilis treatment you will feel a deep heating sensation, which some clients compare to that of a hot stone massage. Radiofrequency energy is delivered to the deeper layers of the skin, while the underside of the applicator provides cooling to the skin’s surface, improving your comfort during the treatment.
Is there any aftercare?
As the skin may feel sensitive, it is advisable to avoid extremes of heat or cold, and exposure to the sun. Drinking plenty of water in the days that follow the treatment will assist the lymphatic system in flushing out the unwanted fat cells.
How many sessions are recommended?
The treatment needs to be done 7-10 days apart for 6 weeks for both body and face areas.
You can have additional treatments if desired. Patients usually show continued results for at least six months after the Exilis treatment.
What results can I expect?
Skin tightening on the face and neck and fat reduction on the body.
Results for fat reduction after 6-12 weeks and for skin tightening 12 weeks. You wont see a change after one session ( you will have a flash heat response which will subside after an hour) so we recommend a course of treatments for effective results. for fat reduction it cant be treated anywhere there has to be pockets of pinchible subcutaneous fat.
Note: you cannot have the treatment if you have metal implants.
Unwanted fat – Some patients find that they achieve their goal in just 4 Exilis Elite treatments, however, others may need more to achieve their optimum results.
Sagging skin and wrinkles – After just 1 to 2 Exilis Elite treatment sessions, you should start to see some skin tightening but it will be 2-3 months after the end of your treatment course that you will see the best results.
Exilis results are long-lasting, so long as you maintain your weight with normal diet and exercise. Sagging skin and wrinkles can be significantly reduced for up to two years.
Current studies show that those who had treatment over 2 years ago have been able to maintain their results. For facial treatments much depends on the way you look after your skin post-treatment. A skin regime that contains clinical active ingredients and little sun exposure will look better for longer than those using over the counter products and frequent/unprotected exposure to the sun.
