Who is suitable for Sofwave?
Many clients requesting Sofwave are are aged between 40 and 60. This is when facial wrinkles and lax skin are particularly noticeable, and cause a change in facial contouring. Best results are achieved in those who have mild to moderate concerns.
Is Sofwave safe?
This treatment is FDA approved, and is therefore considered to be safe. At Beau Clinic we require our clients to attend a pre-treatment consultation to determine their suitability which is based on their individual concerns, the achievable outcome and their general health.
Is Sofwave painful?
Delivering sound waves to the deeper layers of the skin is a pain-free process and doesn’t usually require the use of an anaesthetic. Clients have reported feeling a warming sensation as the treatment progresses. The Sofwave device contains a built-in cooling system (Sofcool™) which is designed to protect the outer layer of the skin.
Are there any side effects or risks?
Side effects are usually very mild, and can include skin irritation and slight swelling. However, these are temporary effects that have usually resolved within a few hours. In very few cases, skin discolouration and bruising has occurred, which are also temporary and often subside in 5-7 days. Clients can contact the salon at any time to discuss concerns following treatment.
What results can I expect?
Whilst an instant tightening effect can occur, giving some rapid results, the initial outcome will take around 12 weeks to develop.
Clients can expect their skin to gradually become smoother and firmer, gently lifting to produce a more youthful and rested appearance.
