She will carefully map and draw your proposed brow shape so you can see and agree on the design before pigment is applied. A topical numbing cream is used to help with comfort, and Charmaine then creates fine hairstrokes using her specialised digital machine.
The appointment takes approximately two hours. Before you leave, you’ll receive aftercare advice explaining how to look after your new eyebrows during healing.
Your semi permanent eyebrow treatment is completed in two stages. Following your initial appointment, you’ll return approximately four weeks later for an included top-up appointment. This essential second stage allows Charmaine to assess how the pigment has healed, refine the hairstrokes and complete your finished result.
A colour boost is a maintenance treatment designed to refresh the colour and definition of your existing semi permanent eyebrows as the pigment gradually fades.
Most clients consider a colour boost approximately every 12–18 months, although this varies depending on skin type, lifestyle and how well the pigment has retained.
Charmaine will assess your existing brows and recommend the most appropriate treatment to restore their appearance.

Many clients choose a colour boost after approximately 12–18 months to keep their brows looking fresh and defined. Semi permanent makeup should not be assumed to disappear completely.
The surface of the skin typically settles over the first 7–14 days, although complete healing and pigment settling can take several weeks.
During this time, your eyebrows may appear darker, become dry or flaky, and then soften in colour. Avoid picking at the treated area and follow the aftercare instructions provided by Charmaine. Healing times and final results vary between individuals.

The most suitable technique and design will be discussed and decided together during the initial part of your appointment on the day, ensuring your brows are perfectly tailored to you.

We recommend attending this appointment around 4–6 weeks after your initial treatment. If the retouch is missed or rescheduled outside of this recommended timeframe, additional work may be required and this could incur an extra charge.

Colour boost appointments are available for all of Charmaine’s previous clients, as well as clients who have had their initial semi-permanent eyebrow treatment performed elsewhere.
If your original brows were carried out by another artist or clinic, please send us a clear photo before booking your appointment. Charmaine will need to assess the existing pigment and previous work first, as the treatment required and price may differ from our standard colour boost options.
Once Charmaine has reviewed your photo, we can advise on the most appropriate appointment and price before you book.
