Subtle definition. Fuller-looking lashes.

Semi-Permanent Lash Line Enhancement is a beautifully subtle permanent makeup treatment designed to enhance your natural lashes and add soft definition to the eyes.

Performed by Charmaine at Beau Clinic, pigment is delicately placed through the upper lash line, creating the appearance of a darker, denser lash base without the look of traditional eyeliner. Using black or brown pigment selected to complement your colouring and desired result, Lash Line Enhancement is ideal if you love a naturally defined eye and want your lashes to appear fuller from the moment you wake up.

What is Semi-Permanent Lash Line Enhancement?

Lash Line Enhancement is a form of permanent makeup that creates subtle definition directly through the lash line.

Unlike a more noticeable eyeliner look, the pigment is carefully placed amongst the roots of the upper lashes. This creates the illusion of a naturally darker and fuller lash base while gently defining the shape of the eyes.

The finished effect is deliberately understated. Your eyes look more defined and your lashes appear fuller, but without an obvious line of makeup. It can be particularly lovely for anyone who finds themselves reaching for eyeliner or a pencil simply to add definition around the lashes, as well as those who prefer a polished but very natural everyday look.

Lash Line Enhancement vs Semi-Permanent Eyeliner

Although the treatments are related, a Lash Line Enhancement is designed to create a much softer result than traditional semi-permanent eyeliner. With Lash Line Enhancement, pigment is placed through the upper lash line to give the impression of greater lash density and subtle definition.

Traditional permanent eyeliner usually creates a more visible cosmetic line above the lashes and can be designed in different thicknesses or styles. At Beau Clinic, our Lash Line Enhancement is for clients looking for a soft, natural result rather than an obvious eyeliner effect.

Lash Line Enhancement FAQ's

Why choose a Lash Line Enhancement?

A Lash Line Enhancement can:

  • Create the appearance of fuller and darker lashes
  • Add subtle definition to the eyes
  • Give a natural, understated result
  • Reduce the need to define the lash line with makeup every day
  • Remain visible when you’re not wearing mascara or eye makeup
  • Be tailored using black or brown pigment to complement your colouring

The aim isn’t to dramatically change the shape of your eyes. It’s to enhance what is already there.

What happens during my appointment?

Your appointment begins with a consultation with Charmaine to discuss the result you’d like to achieve and whether black or brown pigment will best complement your colouring.

The treatment is then carefully carried out along the upper lash line. Your appointment is approximately 90 minutes, allowing plenty of time for consultation, preparation and precise application rather than rushing the treatment itself.

Immediately afterwards, the lash line may appear darker and more defined than the eventual healed result. Some mild redness, tenderness or swelling around the treatment area can also occur initially and should settle as the area begins to heal.

As with other permanent makeup treatments, the pigment softens as it heals.

Your Perfecting Appointment

Your £299 treatment includes a perfecting appointment 4–6 weeks after your initial treatment.

Permanent makeup is a process rather than simply a single appointment. Everyone’s skin retains pigment differently during healing, so the second appointment allows Charmaine to assess the healed result and perfect any areas where additional pigment is required.

After this, your Lash Line Enhancement will gradually fade over time. How quickly this happens varies between individuals and can be affected by factors including your skin, lifestyle, skincare and sun exposure.

Future colour boosts can be used to refresh the result when required.

Before Your Lash Line Enhancement

Lash extensions must be removed before your appointment.

Please arrive without lash extensions so Charmaine can work safely and accurately along the natural upper lash line. Extensions should not be reapplied until the treated area has fully healed.

We will provide you with any additional pre-treatment information required ahead of your appointment.

Will a Lash Line Enhancement look like eyeliner?

No. Lash Line Enhancement is specifically designed to produce a much subtler effect. Pigment is placed through the upper lash line to create the appearance of greater lash density and natural definition rather than an obvious line of eyeliner.

Will my lashes actually become thicker?

The treatment doesn’t change the thickness or number of your natural lashes. By darkening and defining the area at the roots of the lashes, however, it creates the appearance of a fuller and denser lash line.

Can I choose between black and brown?

Yes. Charmaine offers black or brown pigment and will discuss the most appropriate choice with you based on your colouring and the result you would like to achieve.

Does Semi-Permanent Lash Line Enhancement hurt?

The eye area is naturally sensitive and everybody’s experience of permanent makeup is different. Charmaine works carefully throughout the treatment and will explain what to expect before beginning.

How long does Lash Line Enhancement take?

Your appointment takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

Is there any downtime?

Downtime is generally minimal, although the lash line can initially appear darker and you may experience some temporary redness, tenderness or swelling around the treatment area.

The colour will soften as the area heals.

How long does Semi-Permanent Lash Line Enhancement last?

Semi-permanent makeup gradually fades over time rather than disappearing at a fixed point. Longevity varies from person to person depending on factors including skin type, lifestyle, skincare, sun exposure and individual pigment retention.

A colour boost can be carried out in the future when you feel your Lash Line Enhancement needs refreshing.

Is a top-up included?

Yes. Your £299 treatment includes a perfecting appointment 4–6 weeks after your initial treatment.

This allows Charmaine to assess how your skin has retained the pigment and perfect the healed result where necessary.

Can I have Lash Line Enhancement if I wear lash extensions?

Your lash extensions will need to be fully removed before your Lash Line Enhancement appointment.

They should not be reapplied until the treated lash line has fully healed.

Can I still wear mascara afterwards?

Once the treatment area has completely healed, you can return to wearing your usual eye makeup, including mascara. Charmaine will provide appropriate aftercare advice following your treatment.

Is Lash Line Enhancement suitable for everyone?

As with all permanent makeup treatments, suitability is assessed individually. Certain medical conditions, medications, skin conditions or other circumstances may mean treatment needs to be postponed or isn’t appropriate.

If you’re unsure whether you can have the treatment, please contact Beau Clinic before booking and we’ll be happy to advise.

Who carries out this procedure?

Your Semi-Permanent Lash Line Enhancement will be performed by Charmaine, Beau Clinic’s owner and experienced permanent makeup artist.

Known for her attention to detail and natural approach to permanent makeup, Charmaine tailors each treatment to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
